The DeLonghi EC685R Dedica DeLuxe Pump Espresso Machine - Red is a compact entry-level espresso machine designed for home users who want straightforward espresso preparation without giving up useful brewing flexibility. At just 5.9 inches wide, it fits easily into smaller kitchens while its red finish, stainless steel accents, and slim profile give it a polished countertop presence.
The Dedica DeLuxe uses a 1300 W thermoblock heating system and a 15-bar self-priming vibration pump, reaching brew temperature in about 40 seconds and transitioning from brewing to steaming in roughly 15 seconds. Its 53 mm pressurized portafilter supports both ground coffee and E.S.E. pods, helping simplify extraction for newer home baristas.
For milk drinks, the stainless steel Pannarello wand with automatic frothing capability helps prepare cappuccinos and lattes, while the same wand can dispense hot water for tea or cocoa. Programmable water-hardness settings, descaling alerts, and compatibility with a DeLonghi water filter make routine maintenance easier.
